Hawks Vs. Wizards: Hot-Shooting Atlanta Leads 52-46 at Halftime

The Wizards are shooting the ball well, but they still trail the Hawks by a score of 52-46 at halftime Saturday night at the Verizon Center.

Despite trailing at half, Washington owns the highlight of the game -- a YouTube video in waiting from Al Thornton, who basically ruined Zaza Pachulia's life when he cocked back and dunked on the Atlanta center. Remember Trevor Booker's dunk from last night? This was better ...

The Wizards have played well offensively, hitting better than 50 percent from the field. Nick Young has 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting and Kirk Hinrich has 10 points off the bench.

But once again the Wizards are getting hurt inside defensively, and Atlanta has knocked down 5 of 11 three pointers, including four of its first six. The Hawks have also attempted 17 free throws to six for Washington, an odd disparity given that Washington is at home.
