Thunder Vs. Wizards Score: Oklahoma City Off To Fast Start, Leads 33-24 After First Quarter

It didn't take long for Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder to get going in their game against the Washington Wizards. Durant has nine points already as the Thunder lead 33-24 after one quarter.

Oklahoma City scored the first eight points of the game, controlling the pace of the game and forcing Flip Saunders to call an early timeout. The stretch included a beautiful spin move and dunk by Serge Ibaka, who made JaVale McGee look absolutely silly. The Wizards rallied a little bit late to cut the margin to single digits.

Durant leads Oklahoma City with nine, while Russell Westbrook has eight points despite shooting 3-9. Kendrick Perkins has a team-high five rebounds in his first game with the Thunder, but went back to the locker room after a short stretch. Nick Young and Trevor Booker have six points to lead the Wizards. John Wall, meanwhile, has four points, three rebounds and three assists.
