If the Wizards end their six-game losing streak against the Warriors and no one is there to see it, did it ever really happen? It might be a moot point with Golden State leading by a score of 62-53 after the first half.
Here's a photo from Bullets Forever editor and SB Nation DC overlord Mike Prada, who is at Verizon Center tonight.
Good seats still available in section 205.
Those fans in attendance watched the a couple old foils rear their head against Golden State: free throws and rebounding. The Warriors out-rebounded the Wizards, especially on the offensive end, where the Wizards held a 10-3 advantage. Golden State grabbed 31 rebounds to the Wizards' 18 total. Golden State also attempted 10 more free throws, hitting 11 of their 12 attempts.
Andray Blatche has played well against soft-ish interior defense, scoring 12 points on better than 50 percent shooting. Nick Young was able to take advantage of the smaller Monta Ellis early, posting up for a couple baskets and finishing with 11 points.
But the Warriors have gotten out in transition and shared the basketball well (14 assists). Stephen Curry leads all scorers with 15 points at the break.
NOTE: Josh Howard headed to the locker room with less than a minute left in the first half.
