Trevor Booker Injury To Sideline Him For Rest Of Season

Trevor Booker has been a nice surprise to the Wizards as a rookie during a very bad year, but it looks like his season is over. Booker suffered a foot injury in Friday's loss to the Denver Nuggets, and coach Flip Saunders said he will not return to the court this season.

Via Michael Lee of the Washington Post:

Flip Saunders said Trevor Booker is likely done for the season after MRI revealed a crack below his right foot

The Wizards have nine games left in the season, so there isn't much time for Booker to recover. Booker averaged 5.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 16.4 minutes per game this season, but his per-minute numbers are very strong and he was starting to get more regular playing time as injuries to other players started piling up.

The Wizards will get Andray Blatche back for Wednesday's game against Miami, so it looks like he will be the one to fill the minutes Booker vacated.
