The Wizards and Celtics are treating the Verizon Center to a fun game in the Verizon Center season finale. The teams are headed to overtime tied 84-84 after Jordan Crawford hits a last-second jumper to tie it up.
It looked like Carlos Arroyo had put the game on ice with a pair of steals in the final minutes. But John Wall brought the Wizards back into, drawing a foul on Arroyo on a three-point attempt, and hitting all three free throws to close the gap to 83-82.
Flip Saunders stomped and screamed for a five-second call as the Celtics inbounded out of a timeout but didn't get it. The Celtics got the ball in to Von Wafer, who bricked the first of two free throws, setting up the Wizards final possession.
An exciting way to go out at the Verizon Center, even if Boston was holding four of its starters out of the game.
