A new Wizards red, white and blue color scheme was promised a year ago, and now, it is becoming a reality. The team announced that it will hold an invite-only event at the Verizon Center on May 10 to introduce the new colors.
↵The event is open to media and "invited guests," which could mean a heck of a lot of people. Executive Vice President of Business Operations Greg Bibb said he is "excited" to share the new design with the public. We're excited to see it too, seeing as the Wizards' current blue color scheme seems ill-fitting for the nation's capital.
↵The larger question at play for me is what the new marketing slogan surrounding these uniforms ends up being. The Wizards can't use "Rock the Red," because that's the Capitals, right? If not, what is the best answer? Is there an alliteration? Is there something else entirely. Major questions for sure.
