Nick Young, Josh Howard, Rashard Lewis Among Wizards Injured For Rest Of Season

The Washington Wizards will end the season with a depleted roster, as several key players will end the season injured. Flip Saunders said at shootaround Tuesday that Nick Young, Rashard Lewis, Josh Howard, Hamady Ndiaye, Cartier Martin and Trevor Booker will all sit for the final six games of the season due to various injuries.

Booker and Lewis are not big surprises. The Wizards announced last week that Booker suffered a broken foot and would be out for six weeks. Lewis, meanwhile, has been out for a while with right knee tendonitis, and had an injection on March 17

The bigger surprise is Young, who was playing so well before hurting his left knee a couple weeks ago. He reaggravated the injury in a loss to Golden State on March 28, and that was evidently enough to keep him out for the season.

Howard, meanwhile, never recovered from offseason knee surgery, playing in just 13 games this season.
