The 2011 NBA Mock Draft season can now officially begin with the conclusion of the 2011 NBA Draft lottery. The Cleveland Cavaliers got lucky, moving up to the No. 1 and No. 4 spots, while the Washington Wizards were unlucky to fall to the No. 6 spot, which was about as bad as they could have done. Now, the Wizards will have a tough choice to make.
In Draft Express' first mock draft, the Wizards are taking Jan Vesely, a 6'11'' combo forward from the Czech Republic. Vesely is very gifted at 21 years old, but struggled this season and needs a lot of work on his shot. The Wizards certainly could use help at small forward, though, and Vesely would have been a lottery pick had he come out last season.
With the No. 18 pick, Draft Express has the Wizards taking Jordan Hamilton, a swingman from Texas. Hamilton would probably act as insurance in case Nick Young departs in free agency. Trey Thompson, a power forward from Georgia, is the Wizards' pick at No. 34.
