The Washington Wizards have several options for the No. 6 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, but one that few are talking about right now is Florida State forward Chris Singleton. Many NBA Mock Drafts have him falling to the Wizards' second pick at No. 18, but recently, Singleton's stock has risen to the point where the Wizards would probably have to take him at No. 6 if they want him.
And if they do end up picking Singleton? They'll get the modern-day Scottie Pippen, according to Singleton himself. Via Michael Lee of the Washington Post:
They would be better on that end with Singleton, especially if you ask Singleton, who wasn't short on confidence at the NBA combine in Chicago last week. He boldly proclaimed himself to be "a modern-day Pippen."
"Because I can do everything," Singleton said. "I really do believe that. I believe I can pass. I believe I can play defense. I think I'm the perfect role player. If I'm meant to be a star, I'll be a star. But it all depends on the team and the situation. I feel like I'm the perfect guy in any system."
I guess proclaiming you are the "modern-day Pippen" is better than saying you are a "finesse player."
