2011 NBA Finals Features Several Former Washington Wizards Players

If the Washington Wizards  can't play in the 2011 NBA Finals themselves (and let's be honest, they weren't really all that close) I suppose this is the next best thing. The rosters of the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat are peppered who spent at least some time with the Wizards during the course of their careers.

The Heat have only two. Mike Miller spent one season with the Wizards after being traded here from the Timberwolves. He was signed by the Heat this past Summer. Juwan Howard, on the other hand, spent a hand full of seasons in Wahsington in the beginning of his career, probably his best years, actually. And I think we all know about Mike Bibby's brief career in Washington.

The Mavericks have plenty of former Wizards, headlined by Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson who were all part of the deadline trade last season. But they also have Brian Cardinal, who played all of five games for the Wizards in the early part of this decade.

So maybe the Wizards aren't playing in the NBA Finals, but some of the Washington Wizards family are. I guess we'll have to take it.
