Enes Kanter is one of the Wizards' most sought after draft prospects, but it is assumed that he will be picked before the Wizards have a chance to take him in the June 23 Draft. Before now, we weren't even sure the Wizards were going to work Kanter out. But according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post, the Wizards will be working Kanter out in Chicago on Monday.
During the NBA combine in Chicago last month, Kanter expressed his desire to play for the Wizards and possibly team with his "good friend" John Wall. The Wizards interviewed the 6-foot-11 Kanter in Chicago but had been hoping to arrange another meeting with him before the June 23 draft in Newark.
That's good news, but the Wizards probably still don't have much of a shot to draft Kanter if they hang on to their No. 6 overall pick. If they really want to get Kanter in the fold, they'll almost certainly have to trade up into the top three or four picks.
