NBA Draft 2011 News: Jan Vesely Likely Wizards Pick As Team Invites Czech Delegation To Draft Party

It looks like the Washington Wizards will indeed take Czech forward Jan Vesely with the No. 6 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Nothing is official, but according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post, a delegation from the Czech Republic embassy has been invited to the Wizards' draft party in Washington D.C.

For what it's worth, the Wizards have invited staff members from the Czech Republic Embassy to attend the team's draft party at Verizon Center on Thursday.

That could mean anything, of course, but it's hard to see why the Wizards would do that unless Vesely was the man they were picking. The team would have abandoned all hopes of moving up and is sure that Vesely would fall to No. 6 if this is to be taken literally.

If Vesely is the guy, the Wizards will have likely chosen him over prospects like Enes Kanter, Kawhi Leonard, Tristan Thompson and Jonas Valanciunas.
