Javaris Crittenton Surrenders To Police In Santa Ana, California

Javaris Crittenton has turned himself in to the police, and was taken into custody on Monday night after checking for a flight to Atlanta from John Way Airport in Santa Ana, California. Crittenton bought a one way ticket to Los Angeles this past Wednesday, but decided to make his way back to Atlanta to turn himself in on the murder charge he faces in the shooting death of a 22-year-old mother of four in Atlanta, according to Christian Boone of the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

He was taken into custody at John Wayne Airport after checking in for a Delta Air Lines flight to Atlanta, the FBI said. He was arrested without incident and will be held overnight in police custody, authorities said. Crittenton's lawyer said his client had agreed to surrender to local authorities who've charged him in the shooting death of a 22-year-old mother of four.

Crittenton's agent said that his client wants to "clear his name" of the charges and that he innocent. For more on Crittenton and the ongoing murder investigation, check out the stream on SB Nation and head over to Bullets Forever.
