The D.C. vs. Baltimore exhibition at Morgan State University on Tuesday night predictably went to the Baltimore team, led by NBA stars LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. The Melo All-Stars got the win, 149-141, led by 38 for James and 36 for Anthony. But the real star of the game was Kevin Durant, who poured in 59 points in a losing effort for the Goodman League all-stars.
Durant was going at James all game, and for the most part, he succeeded, hitting stepback three-pointers and driving to the basket for other scores. If this was a one-on-one battle between those two players, Durant very clearly came out on top. Alas, Durant's team was simply outclassed, with Brandon Jennings, arguably his second most recognizable teammate, not playing. With James, Paul and Anthony, the Baltimore team simply had too many weapons.
Here are some highlights of the game from ESPN and SportsCenter.
