With the Redskins' season underway, Maryland football playing a big game on Saturday, the Nationals playing well and Capitals training camp beginning on Saturday, it's understandable for the Wizards to be off your radar. That's why we feel it's our duty to inform you that John Wall is destroying opponents at the Impact Basketball League in Las Vegas.
Wall has played in two games in the so-called "Lockout League" and has absolutely dominated, dropping 42 points each time. Playing with teammates like Rashard Lewis, Jordan Crawford, Shelvin Mack, Larry Owens and JaVale McGee, Wall has shown off the skills he already has (his speed) and some skills that he's worked to develop over the summer (his jump shot). He probably doesn't have the signature Impact performance of the week -- that honor goes to Houston Rockets guard Kyle Lowry, who dropped 56 points on Thursday -- but he's probably been the best player overall in his two games.
Just watch this mixtape below the jump, and you'll understand why we're all excited.
