Caron Butler Is Playing For A D.C. Team Again

Remember Caron Butler? He's an NBA champion now for the Dallas Mavericks, but he was once a beloved member of the Washington Wizards. Now, he's returning to play for a D.C. team again. According to Michael Lee of the Washington Post, Butler will represent the Goodman League in a game on Saturday in Indianapolis against an Indy Pro-Am team.

Other guys on the D.C. roster include Andray Blatche, Jeff Green, DeMarcus Cousins and Michael Beasley. The Indianapolis team looks more stacked, with Zach Randolph, Eric Gordon, George Hill and Mike Conley among those playing. John Wall is a maybe, though Goodman League commissioner Miles Rawls thinks he'll be there. Kevin Durant and Greg Monroe have prior commitments.

This will be Butler's first competitive game since his knee injury in January, so it will be interesting to see how he performs. Tickets for the game in Indianapolis are $42 and $20 for children.
