Celtics Vs. Wizards: Washington Looks For First Win Against Boston

The Washington Wizards will look to get their first win of the season when they host the Boston Celtics.

The Washington Wizards are one of two teams without a win so far in the NBA season. They will look to pick up that first win on Sunday when they take on Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and the Boston Celtics in a New Year's Day game at the Verizon Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be on Comcast SportsNet.

Washington is coming off a 102-81 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks that saw the team go down by over 20 points midway through the second quarter. The Wizards have not been competitive since the first half against New Jersey in the season opener on Monday, when they took a 21-point lead.

Boston is coming off its first win of the year, a 96-85 win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Prior to that game, the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks, Miami Heat and New Orleans Hornets. Pierce sat out the first three games with a heel injury, but returned to the lineup on Friday.
