NBA Standings 2012: Woeful Washington Wizards Still Have Only One Win

The 2011-2012 Washington Wizards have had a rough start to their campaign. After being dismissed 103-90 by the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, the Wizards fell to 1-11 on the season. With just one lone victory, Washington is at least two games back of every other team in the league. The Wizards rank dead-last in the league in scoring (84.6 points per game) and give up the 23rd most points in the league per game (96.8). They are second-to-last in the league in assists, at just 15.9 per game.

To make matters perhaps even worse (if that is possible), Washington's upcoming schedule does not offer much solace. The Wizards welcome the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics to the Verizon Center all in the next week, before hitting the road to take on the 76ers yet again. A second win for the year is not easy to come by in that list of opponents.

One final, depressing statistic: the Wizards have played 48 quarters this season. In 20 of those 48 quarters, Washington has scored less than 20 points.
