Wizards Vs. Rockets Score Update: Houston Leads Washington 44-41 After First Half

The Washington Wizards are looking for their first road win of the season, and came out energized and ready to play in the first quarter against the Houston Rockets The Wizards led by as many as eight points in the first half, but a Houston second quarter run put them right back in it and gave the Rockets a 44-41 halftime lead. In just his second game as new head coach, Randy Wittman shook up the starting lineup and gave rookie Jan Vesely his first career start. The No. 6 overall pick took advantage of the opportunity, scoring five of Washington's first 11 points. He finished the half with those five points.

Houston went on a 15-4 run in the second quarter to quickly erase the eight-point lead Washington had built after an impressive quarter and half. John Wall had a career-high 38 points against the Rockets a little over a week ago, and he again leads the Wizards with 11 points tonight.
