Bradley Beal a game-time decision for Heat game

The Wizards rookie moved around at practice on Wednesday without much trouble, but he'll be a game time decision against the Heat.

Wizards rookie Bradley Beal is a game time decision for Washington's Wednesday night preseason game against the Miami Heat. Michael Lee of The Washington Post reported that Beal, who's been hobbled this week with a left ankle injury, appeared to practice without much trouble on Wednesday morning. But with less than a week to go before the regular season tip-off against the Cavaliers, head coach Randy Wittman and the Wizards will exercise caution for the game against Miami.

Beal injured the ankle during practice on Monday, as he got caught in a Jan Vesely screen. Wittman said on Tuesday that he didn't think the injury was a major concern, and that there was no swelling. But the Florida product was limited a bit during Tuesday's practice. According to Lee, the ankle appears to have improved with the extra day.

The rookie is competing with Jordan Crawford for the starting two-guard spot. He was hoping to play on Wednesday with the game taking place in his home state of Missouri, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
