Chris Kaman has 14 points and the Dallas Mavericks have a 63-45 halftime lead over the winless Washington Wizards at halftime.
Washington kept it close in the first quarter and trailed by just four going into the second. But Dallas used a 17-6 run midway through the quarter to take control and go up 57-39.
OJ Mayo is Dallas' other double-figure scorer, with 12. Nine different Mavericks have scored to lead the balanced attack.
But as well as Dallas has played offensively -- the Mavericks are on track to score well over 120 points -- Washington has been equally poor. The Wizards shot just 42 percent in the first half, including a 3-11 showing from Bradley Beal. Point guard A.J. Price is the only Wizard in double figures with 11 points.
In order for the Wizards to avoid an 0-7 start to the season, they must find a way to stop Dallas from going on another run, while also finding a way to claw back into the game themselves.
