The Washington Wizards snapped their 12-game losing streak to start the season, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, 84-82, and will now try to string multiple wins together when they take on the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

The Wizards-Knicks contest, scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET, will be televised on NBATV, CSN Washington, and MSG Network. After this game, Washington won't play again until Tuesday, Dec. 4 when they host the defending champion Miami Heat.

Elsewhere in the region on the NBA schedule Friday night, the Boston Celtics, playing without the suspended Rajon Rondo, host the Portland Trail Blazers. Also, the Brooklyn Nets will be in Orlando taking on the Magic, and the Philadelphia 76ers face the Bobcats in Charlotte.

On Saturday, the Heat host the Nets and Philadelphia heads to Chicago to face the Bulls. The Celtics complete their back-to-back in Milwaukee against the Bucks.

Sunday's lineup features only two contests, as New York hosts the Phoenix Suns in a matinee game and, later, the Magic are in Los Angeles to square off against their former center, Dwight Howard, and the Lakers.
