James Harden scored 31 points to power the Houston Rockets past the Washington Wizards Wednesday night, 99-93, in Houston, Texas.

The Wizards are now 3-16 on what is quickly becoming a lost year for the team with the worst record in the NBA.

The Rockets jumped out to a 10-point lead after the first quarter, but the Wizards battled back and trailed by just three at halftime. In a back-and-forth second half, the Rockets held on at home to win and snap a three-game skid.

In addition to Harden, four other players scored in double figures for Houston, and Omer Asik tallied nine points and a game-high 16 rebounds. Jeremy Lin provided 10 points and six assists.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 20 points and six assists while Emeka Okafor added 19 points. Everyone who played for Washington had at least one rebound, including Nene who led the team with nine boards.

The Wizards host the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night at 7 p.m. ET as they go for their fourth win of the season.
