NBA schedule: Wizards play home-and-home with Pistons

The Washington Wizards play the Pistons in Detroit on Friday night and then host the Pistons on Saturday at the Verizon Center.

USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards hope to find their fourth and possibly fifth win of the season over the weekend. The Wizards have two games against the Detroit Pistons who, at 7-21 with six straight losses, offer Washington one of their more likely shots at a victory. On Friday the Wizards travel to Detroit for a 7:30 p.m. game and on Saturday both teams come to D.C. for a 7 p.m. tip-off. This will be the first (and second) meeting between the two teams this season.

The Pistons are led by third-year center Greg Monroe out of Georgetown. The former Hoya is averaging 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds on the season. Rookie center Andre Drummond has the highest PER on the team at 20.8, but only gets 18.5 minutes per game. The Wizards have been getting great play out of Nene in recent games, but have still lost five straight.
