The Washington Wizards have been unanimously ranked as the worst team in the NBA for a second consecutive week, according to the power ranking polls found at SB Nation, ESPN.com, FoxSports.com and NBA.com.
Despite recording their first victory of the year against the Portland Trail Blazers, the club still managed to drop games against the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks. Washington currently sits in last place in the Southeast Division with a 1-13 record and trail the Miami Heat by 10.5 games for first place.
At SB Nation, curator Seth Rosenthal states that while the team managed to defeat Portland, it was an unconvincing victory.
Marc Stein at ESPN.com discussed that the team is now competing with the Sacramento Kings as the only two teams in the league who have yet to register a road win. With the Kings heading on a four-game road trip, the Wizards might be stuck with another dubious distinction unless they manage to defeat the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Sam Amico at FoxSports.com questions whether the return of John Wall will help the team and John Schuhmann at NBA.com praised them for beating Portland.
