Wizards Vs. Hornets Recap: With No Javale McGee Or Nick Young, Wizards Get Their Fourth Road Win Of The Season

On a day where they traded away two long-time starters in Nick Young and Javale McGee, the Washington Wizards went out and snapped a three-game losing streak for their fourth road win of the season, a 99-89 victory over the New Orleans Hornets. The Wizards have looked good on the offensive end so far on this road trip, but were simply unable to get defensive stops against some of the better teams in the league in Dallas and San Antonio. But that was not an issue against the Hornets, as New Orleans shot less than 29 percent from behind the arc and never really threatened in the fourth quarter.

John Wall led the Wizards with a double-double, as the star point guard continues to impress and mature in the second half of the season. He dished 12 assists and scored a game-high 26 points, missing only five shots from the floor in a dominating performance. Roger Mason, who will see increased playing time off the bench, added 19 points on four of six shooting from behind the arc.

The Wizards will continue their road trip on Friday night in Atlanta against the Hawks.
