Pacers Vs. Wizards: Andray Blatche On His Tough Year

Andray Blatche spoke in the locker room before Thursday night's Pacers vs. Wizards game about his rough season, the team's decision to shut down him down until he improves his condition, and his new 3 a.m. workouts.

It was a candid conversation and closer look at how Blatche has been affected by what he called one of the toughest seasons of his career. You're not wrong to laugh at Blatche's foibles, but if you think he's enjoying collecting paychecks from the sidelines, you're missing a big part of the story, too.

Still, Blatche doesn't blame the fans at Verizon Center who choose to boo.

"I had a lot of talks with my mom, with my family. My mom told me basically that I put myself in that position the way I've been playing, so it's up to you to dig yourself out of this hole. So I take full responsibility with how things have gone this season. I can't go home at night and say 'Eff them because they don't know nothing.' They're the fans, they see it. My mom see's it."

I mean, man. Brutal.

At this point, what are your feelings about Blatche? Leave 'em in the comments or come tell me I'm an idiot on Twitter: @KatzM. Also, check out our Wizards blog, Bullets Forever, where Mike Prada has a bunch more quotes from Andray Blatche's pregame talk.
