Cartier Martin Signs 10-Day Contract With Washington Wizards

Confirming a report on Monday, Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld announced that the team has re-signed former Wizard Cartier Martin to a 10-day contract.

Martin started his tenure with the Wizards after signing a 10-day contract in 2010. After averaging 6.4 points per game in eight games to close out the 2010 season, he was retained for the 2010-11 season and played 52 games with the Wizards before being waived on April 6, 2011. During the NBA lockout, he played in China where he averaged 26.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. In his most recent NBA D-League stint, he made 15 of 27 shots from three-point range.

Martin has also spent time with the Charlotte Bobcats and the Golden State Warriors and has played internationally in Turkey and Italy in addition to China. He has also played in 59 D-League games with the Iowa Energy and has averaged 18.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
