Nick Young Had To Join The Clippers Without His Swag

The Basketball Jones has alerted us to this piece by Jonathan Abrams at Grantland, which takes a look at how disruptive it is for NBA players to be traded during the middle of the season, especially long-standing veterans like Nene, who had been with Denver since entering the NBA in 2002.

Nick Young was in a similar position when the Wizards, the team that had drafted him in 2007, sent him to the Los Angeles Clippers. The team happened to be on the road at the time, so Young was temporarily sent west with just his traveling clothes to wear.

"We were in New Orleans," Young said. "I didn't have no clothes. I brought two outfits for the two games we had on the road. So once I got here, because I couldn't play the first game, they told me I had to get a suit or something, and I didn't have a suit. Right now, I'm wearing the same outfit. I can't be in L.A. without my swag."

Rough times for a man who takes such pride in his swag, as his Twitter handle can attest.
