Comcast Bumps Wizards, D.C. United To CSN Plus For Caps Playoff Coverage

Having the Capitals in the Stanley Cup playoffs is certainly a boon to our friends at Comcast SportsNet, who will have exclusive coverage of Games 1, 3, and 4 (plus more, if necessary) of the Caps' Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Boston Bruins in the D.C. and Baltimore areas. However, the necessarily late release of the NHL playoff schedule has forced CSN to shuffle their schedule around.

Thursday afternoon, CSN released an updated schedule that bumps Saturday's D.C. United match against the New England Revolution to CSN+. That will make way for postgame coverage of Game 2 of Caps/Bruins (the game itself, scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, will air exclusively on NBC). D.C. United will kick off at 4:00 p.m. Saturday as scheduled.

In addition, Monday's Wizards game against the Chicago Bulls has been bumped to CSN+ to make way for coverage of Game 3 of Caps/ Bruins. That game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. and will also be simulcast on NewsChannel 8.
