NBA Draft 2012: Thomas Robinson Works Out For Wizards, Would Love To Return Home

With just over two weeks remaining before the 2012 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards continue their individual workouts with the top prospects in this year's class. DC native Thomas Robinson worked out for the Wizards on Wednesday. Robinson could certainly be an option for the Wizards at No. 3, with some even projecting that he's off the board by then, going No. 2 overall to Charlotte. He's an extremely active and athletic power forward who can likely contribute right away in the NBA, even if his offensive game needs burnishing.

Robinson told the media on Wednesday that he would love to return home and play for the Wizards. Mike Prada of SB Nation's Bullets Forever spoke with him about his desire to return to the area:

This is not the first time Robinson said he wanted to play for the Wizards, but it was one of the most emphatic. When asked to describe his feelings on being able to work out for the franchise he grew up following, he called it a "dream come true." So, yeah, he's being pretty transparent about this whole thing.

He had a solid workout with the Wizards and repeatedly stated that he felt comfortable going through drills. Ernie Grunfeld could do worse with the third overall pick.
