The mock drafts continue to roll in as the 2012 NBA Draft nears, and Joe Kotoch over at Sheridan Hoops has compiled a complete, two-round mock.
He, like many others, believes that the Washington Wizards will select Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out of Kentucky with the third overall selection. Kotoch believes that Kidd-Gilchrist compliments young Wizards star John Wall very well and has tremendous room for growth.
As for the second round, the Wizards have two selections, and Kotoch believes that the Wizards will split the picks between the frontcourt and backcourt. He has Memphis shooting guard Will Barton going to the Wizards with the 32nd pick and Marquette power forward Jae Crowder being picked by Washington with the 47th selection.
Kotoch feels that Barton is another wing that provides solid value, and could be another piece to help Wall succeed.
"Barton can give the Wizards the spacing they need to allow John Wall to slash. Another wing that could easily go in the 20's."
As for Crowder, Kotoch says he could be a solid mid-to-late second round selection.
"Crowder was one of the most productive players in college, and while there are questions about his pro position, he gets the job done on the court."
