NBA Mock Draft 2012: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Goes No. 3 To Wizards In Chad Ford's Latest Mock

The Washington Wizards appear to be in a pretty prime position to choose someone they want with the No. 3 overall draft pick on June 28. Though Kentucky forward Anthony Davis is almost a sure lock for the No. 1 overall draft pick for the New Orleans Hornets, there are many scenarios that could play out on draft night. The popular opinion for the Wizards is that they are deciding between Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Florida guard Bradley Beal at No. 3.

Chad Ford of ESPN.com recently released his latest mock draft. He has the Wizards selecting Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 3, but acknowledges the fact that either player would be a good selection.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Position: SF
Height: 6-foot-8
Weight: 233 pounds
Age: 18
School: Kentucky
Analysis: The Wizards are happy at No. 3 and I continue to hear it will come down to Kidd-Gilchrist or Bradley Beal. Harrison Barnes, I'm told, is also now in the picture. Andre Drummond is too, but he's much further down the list. So who gets the nod?

The Wizards really need shooting, which should give Beal or Barnes a leg up. But I continue to hear that Kidd-Gilchrist remains the favorite. It's very close.

The Wizards have plenty of options with this draft pick so it'll be hard for them to possibly make a wrong decision.
