After adding Bradley Beal with the No. 3 pick at the top of the first round, Ernie Grunfeld and the Washington Wizards selected Tomas Satoransky with the 32nd pick overall. Satoransky is a Czech native and a good friend of 2011 Wizards pick, Jan Vesely. He's the second true foreign player selected in the 2012 Draft and the Wizards will likely stash him overseas for a few seasons. He is a 6'7 project who played in Spain last season, where he'll likely stay in 2012-2013. Satoransky is apparently determined to play in the NBA, alongside his friend Vesely. Via DraftExpress:
To his credit, he is reportedly very much gung-ho about the NBA style of basketball and would likely do whatever it takes to make it in the NBA, which can't be said about all young European players these days.
Barring a trade, this was the Wizards' final selection of the 2012 Draft.
