NBA Draft Rumors: Washington Wizards Still Interested In D.C. Native Thomas Robinson

While the early rumors have had the Washington Wizards interested in Florida guard Bradley Beal and Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at the No. 3 overall draft pick, an article published by Sam Amick of SI.com says that interest in Kansas forward and D.C. native Thomas Robinson is still pretty high.

Kansas forward Thomas Robinson could be a good fit alongside third-year center DeMarcus Cousins, but the buzz that Washington will take him at No. 3 remains strong (that is, of course, if Charlotte opts for Kentucky small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2).

If the Wizards do indeed draft Robinson at No. 3, he could be a player that the Wizards would need to give them some help in the front court. While Robinson is not the biggest player, measuring in at 6'10" and 237 pounds, his on court contributions, 17.9 points and 11.8 rebounds per game in his last year at Kansas, should give the Wizards a player with desire and a will to win.
