After snapping their eight-game losing streak last week, the Wizards will attempt to begin 2013 on a good note when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
While the Wizards are just 4-24 on the season, three of their four wins have come at home. The Mavericks are 4-13 on the road this season. Washington has been plagued by injuries this season, but the Wizards could get a boost on Tuesday. Jordan Crawford missed Saturday's game against the Bulls due to a sore ankle, but practiced on Monday and could play against Dallas. Trevor Ariza continues to work his way back and while he could return this week, he will not play on Tuesday.
Tuesday's game will be a battle of teams with contrasting styles. Washington ranks 30th in the NBA in points per game, but are 11th in points allowed. The Mavericks on the other hand are nearly the complete opposite. Dallas is 11th in points scored but 28th in points allowed.
Tipoff for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on CSN HD.
